Billing
Account credit and balance
How team balance works in Expanse Panel, how to add credit, and how auto top-up helps avoid missed payments.
Account credit and balance
Your balance is prepaid credit on your team. You can use it to pay invoices and some checkout orders.
Where to find it
Go to Billing → Balance & Top-up. You will see:
- Your current balance.
- Preset top-up amounts.
- An Other option for a custom amount.
- Auto-pay and auto top-up settings.
Adding credit
- Open Billing.
- Go to Balance & Top-up.
- Choose a preset amount or select Other.
- Start checkout.
- Complete payment through the payment provider.
The panel supports top-ups from $5 to $500. Preset amounts may vary, but common defaults are $10, $25, $50, $100, and $250.
After payment, Expanse Panel updates your balance. If the payment provider takes a moment to confirm, the page may refresh or poll briefly before the new balance appears.
Paying invoices with balance
If your balance is high enough to cover an invoice, the invoice detail modal shows Pay with Balance. Paying with balance deducts the invoice amount from your team credit.
If your balance is too low, top up first or use another payment method such as card checkout.
Auto top-up
Auto top-up adds credit automatically when your balance falls below a threshold you choose.
You can set:
- Threshold — the balance level that triggers a top-up.
- Top-up amount — how much to add.
Auto top-up amount must be between $5 and $500. The threshold can be between $0 and $1000.
When Tebex is enabled for manual checkout, auto top-up is still charged through Stripe.
Auto-pay invoices
Auto pay invoices lets Expanse Panel charge a saved card for due invoices when your balance is not enough. Use this if you want invoices paid automatically without manually opening each invoice.
You still need a valid payment method in the Stripe Customer Portal for auto-pay to work.
Transactions
Balance activity appears in Billing → Transactions. Credits show as top-ups or auto top-ups. Invoice payments show as outgoing payments.
