Billing
Billing overview
A simple guide to the Billing area in Expanse Panel, including balance, invoices, transactions, and payment settings.
Billing overview
The Billing area in Expanse Panel is where your team manages invoices, balance, payments, and billing settings.
Only team owners and billers can access billing. Team admins and members can manage or view other areas depending on their role, but billing is restricted.
What you can see
The Billing page is split into five tabs:
- Overview — your balance, unpaid invoices, total amount due, overdue count, and invoices due soon.
- Invoices — invoice list, status filters, invoice details, payment actions, and downloads.
- Transactions — top-ups, auto top-ups, and invoice payments.
- Balance & Top-up — add credit, configure auto top-up, and enable auto-pay.
- Payment Methods — open the Stripe Customer Portal to manage saved payment information.
Balance
Your balance is team credit. It can be used to pay invoices and some checkout orders. Balance is shown in USD unless the panel displays another currency for your team.
Invoices
Invoices are generated for active services and renewals. You can view line items, due dates, payments already made, tax, discounts, processing fees, and the remaining total.
Payment options
Depending on what is enabled for your account and region, you may see:
- Balance — pay from your team credit.
- Card / Stripe — pay by card through Stripe.
- Tebex — pay through Tebex checkout when enabled.
Some gateway payments may include a processing fee. The checkout screen shows the fee before you pay.
Billing timeline
For recurring services, Expanse Panel follows this general flow:
- An invoice is created before the due date.
- If the invoice is not paid by the due date, it becomes overdue.
- If it remains overdue, late fees and service restrictions may apply.
See the overdue and suspension articles for the exact customer-facing timeline.
