Managing payment methods in Expanse Panel through balance, Stripe, Tebex, and the Stripe Customer Portal.
Payment methods
Expanse Panel supports several ways to pay, depending on what is enabled for your team.
Balance
Your team balance is prepaid credit. Add funds in Billing → Balance & Top-up, then use balance to pay invoices or some checkout orders.
Card payments
Card payments are handled through Stripe. For invoices and checkouts, the panel redirects you to a secure Stripe page when you choose card payment.
Tebex checkout
If Tebex is enabled, some invoice payments and top-ups can be paid through Tebex. The panel shows Tebex as a separate checkout option when available.
Tebex checkout may include processing fees. The payment screen shows those before payment.
Stripe Customer Portal
Go to Billing → Payment Methods and click Open Customer Portal.
Use the portal to:
- Update saved payment methods.
- Review Stripe billing history where available.
- Manage Stripe-side billing information.
The portal opens in a new tab and returns you to your team billing page afterward.
Team owner email requirement
Some payment provider flows require the team owner to have an email address on file. If checkout says the owner email is required, ask the team owner to update their account email or contact support.
Who can manage payment methods
Only team owners and billers can access Billing and payment settings.
Auto-pay
If you want invoices to be paid automatically, enable Auto pay invoices in Billing → Balance & Top-up. Auto-pay uses a saved card when balance is not enough, so make sure your card details in the Stripe Customer Portal are current.
